If you’re looking for a place that combines romance with a thrill, the SkyBridge is the ultimate proposal spot! Stretching 680 feet across and offering panoramic views of the Smokies, it’s a breathtaking setting for such a big moment. Time your proposal for sunset when the sky glows in shades of pink and orange, or head up after dark when the bridge is lit with twinkling lights. It is absolutely dreamy no matter the time of day!

Foothills Parkway

This is a fan favorite, as well as mine! For a classic Smoky Mountain proposal picture, opt for the Foothills! Known as the “missing link” of the Smokies, this scenic drive is filled with lookout points that are perfect for popping the question. Stop at one of the many overlooks along the route, and enjoy sweeping views of the mountains and valleys below.

Dancing Bear Appalachian Bistro

You can really propose at any of Gatlinburg’s fine dining for a romantic and intimate experience. However, I loved getting to capture this surprise proposal at Appalachian Bistro! When looking for a restaurant when you plan to propose in Gatlinburg, I recommend choosing one that has either and intimate indoor setting, like private rooms or romantic booths. Or, has an outdoor space you can use for a private moment. You can even call ahead and ask the restaurant for a bit of help planning and setting everything up!

Ober Mountain

For a super adventurous proposal that will definitely come as a surprise, head over to Ober Mountain! This resort offers skiing, snowboarding, and tubing during our snowy season. And the last thing anyone ever expects while racing down a mountain in the snow is a proposal! It is more unique than other locations, and will be such a surprise!
